Prince of Tyto Chasing Terran Tail on Elatia

by Jessica E. Subject

Hello! I recently caught up with Aristides, Prince of Tyto, on the planet Elatia. It was a rare occasion to see the Prince away from home and without any guards, so I used the chance to ask him a few questions. Here’s what he had to say....

Hey, Prince Aris, what are you doing on Elatia? Are you alone?
Aris: Yes, I’m checking out all the planet has to offer.
So, you finally decided to leave Tyto?
Aris: [He nods with a sigh.] Yes, I needed a break from the place, from my parents.
Interesting. What does Madelia, your betrothed think of your trip here.
Aris: [He shrugs.] She doesn’t know, and I’m sure she doesn’t care. Our engagement has ended, and she’s quite happy with Benignus.
Your Gentleman of the Bedchamber? When did that happen?
Aris: Just before I left.
Yet, you don’t seem upset about it.
Aris: I’m not. The two of them were meant to be a couple, and I helped  to make it happen. [He smiles, as if proud at bringing the two of them together.]
So, what carnal pleasures do you plan on partaking in while visiting Elatia?
Aris: [He checks his watch.] I have an appointment with an Adamo shortly, but I’d rather hunt down the woman I just ran into. [He glances past me.] Did you happen to see another Terran like you dart past? Her name is Xia. I lost where she went.
No, but if I see another Terran, I’ll ask her name, and tell her you’re looking for her.
Aris: Thanks. [He wanders off.]
And there you have it. The Prince of Tyto is on the pleasure planet without his entourage. But, he is more interested in a woman who caught his eye. A Terran woman at that, a sworn enemy of his Kingdom.

An Unexpected Return
by Jessica E. Subject
Erotic Science Fiction Romance
ISBN: 978-1613332993

Looking to experience all the universe has to offer, Prince Aristides escapes from the kingdom of Tyto and travels through space to the Emerald Planet, Elatia. He yearns to partake in the activities the planet is famous for, and fulfill all his sexual desires, but loses his heart and soul to an Adamos apprentice. Unfortunately, she is Terran, and her people are sworn enemies of those from Tyto. If he can convince Xia to give up her dreams of becoming an Adamos, and travel back to Tyto with him, will his parents accept her, or condemn them both?
Abandoned as a toddler on Elatia, and raised by Kalara, an Adamos specializing in erotic massage, Xia decides to follow in her footsteps. But she remains conflicted as to whether she wants to service clients for the rest of her life, or settle down and raise a family. When she meets Aris, he turns the tables on her, and brings her as much pleasure as she gives him.
Will they have their chance to be together, or will their families tear them away from any chance of young love?

When Dead isn’t Really Dead, You’ve got to Worry!

Available HERE
By Eva Lefoy

What’s more dangerous than leaving Earth, joining the military and hunkering down in on a rocky base far from home? Why, Martians of course!
And with Martians, it’s not the ones you see that are the problem. It’s the ones you can’t see that cause all the trouble.
Everybody knows Martian are green. They’re easy to spot in a crowd. Or they would be, if they were still alive. But in the near future, and even now, today, we see no signs of life on Mars. In reality, we send space crafts to the lonely planet to examine the surface for signs of water and other proof life did once exist. In my science fiction series, Martians did once live on Mars. There are even dead Martians stored in scientific vaults, silent testimony that the once proud warrior race lived. After ravaging our galaxy and points beyond, the Martians died out. Maybe their planet ran out of water. Maybe they suffered a plague. Whatever the reason, a dead Martian is a good Martian, to most of the galaxy.
Unless you happen to tinker with their DNA.
DNA from a Martian host inserted into a human subject results in some pretty scary consequences. Over time, the Martian DNA takes over the “weaker” human body and mind, and seeks to program the human host with a new Martian agenda. Talk about trouble! How do you fight an enemy you can’t even see?
Maybe, you become one of them.
Eva

THE TROUBLE WITH MEMORIES

Helium toads!
Lieutenant Lucy Borasco has her phase pistol ready and her ex-boyfriend in her sights. She has every intention of making him pay for choosing his career over her. But she hadn’t factored in a Martian sneak invasion, Cal’s incessant need to save the universe, or the risk of permanent damage to her complexion. Getting Cal back will cost her more than she thinks, leaving her changed forever.
Captain California Sykes’s memories are gone, his career is in ruins, and his ex-girlfriend nearly kills him with a kiss. Can he overcome the Martian invasion, save the rest of the team and win Lucy back again in the process? Or will his seat-of-the-pants plans and the canned fish rations cost him everything he holds dear, including his sanity?

Excerpt:
Lucy stood outside the door to the viewport room, her body braced and stiff, as if her life might end the second the door opened. In a way, it would. In a few short hours, she’d turn and walk away from the shattered remnants of her dreams. The person who’d ruined her life was Captain California Sykes and in under five seconds, she’d set eyes on him for the very last time.
Her schedule pad beeped, and she made the mistake of glancing down to see the date: February 14th. Fragg almighty, how had she done this to herself? Throughout the weeks of careful planning she hadn’t noticed her planet off-date was freakin’ Valentine’s Day? Their fave holiday, while a couple.Holy dwarf star.
She groaned and curled her fingers around the tray so hard they went numb. Just get this over with. He’s made it clear he’s no longer interested. He still thinks his career comes first.
In fact, he’d made his decision obvious the first time she’d been ordered to bring him breakfast three weeks ago. Giddy with excitement at seeing him in the flesh so long after the Mars Mission, she’d traipsed into the room floating on moonbeams. He’d stared at her, frowned, immediately turned his head, and ignored her, shoulders set in a “don’t bother me” position. Her heart had fallen faster than space dust into a black hole’s horizon. “Way to shoot me down, space jock,” she’d hissed and slunk from the room, heart burning from his rejection. Due to some horrid twist of fate, she’d been assigned to bring him his breakfast every day since. And every fragging day, nothing had changed.
Shoving the heartache into the background she lifted her chin and angled her access badge towards the door’s scanner. The heavy barrier whished open without hesitation, giving her a good view of Cal’s backside. The side she’d seen the most of in the last three weeks as he’d continually ignored her. She clenched her jaw and stepped inside.
Captain Sykes stood in the same position she found him every morning when she delivered his breakfast—next to the high windowed wall watching the sleek faster-than-light fighters he’d once flownroar past on their training runs, engines glowing in the early twin-sun dawn.
As usual, he did not acknowledge her arrival. Didn’t twitch a muscle anywhere on his rigid frame. However, his eagle-like eyes followed every dip and swoop the fighters made as though he could insinuate his consciousness into one of their cockpits by sheer force of will and fly again, if only he concentrated hard enough.
He’d looked at her with the same intensity long ago. But maybe eight months in medi-bay changed a man for the worse. She hadn’t expected him to stick to his guns and choose his career over her. But, he had. He’d never shown even a glimmer of attraction for her—no matter how she’d tried to entice him and remind him of what they’d once had with her dress, her voice, or her body—he only seemed interested in those fragging ships. Long-standing frustration cinched a knot in her stomach. Anger settled over her shoulders like a mantle, causing them to tense. This is it. He’s obviously made his choice. Now I’m making mine.
She glared at his reconstituted mashed potato, sauerkraut and bratwurst breakfast, then at him. How in the hell could he live on such a rotten diet and expect to see the ass end of sixty anyway? Not that she should care.He could grow fatter than a gas ox, she didn’t care.
“Your breakfast.” More quietly, she hissed, “Sir.”
When he didn’t respond—not even his usual half-hearted grunt of a greeting—she stepped closer. “I said, your breakfast, sir. Where would you like me to put it?” Her teeth ground together and her mind instantly supplied a few suggestions.
The fighters made another pass and he seemed to sway in their wake. In fact, he closed his eyes as if savoring the moment. Lost in some invisible lover’s embrace like he’d once been lost in hers.
Frozen comet tails. That does it.
“How about here?” She didn’t merely drop the platter, she slammed it downward, adding an extra helping of gravity to the potatoes, mustard, and ketchup, sothe tray crashed to the floor and sent ceramic shards scattering. The tray’s destruction echoed off the windows, crooning sweet vengeance to her ears.

Would you want to live Underground?

by Jessica E. Subject

Woot! My release day is finally here. I hope you’ll check out The Star Princess.
In my New Adult Sci-Fi Romance, many of the characters live underground. Some as their permanent residence and others as a temporary measure. On the planet Minjet, the people build their homes in the sides of cliffs and hills where the majority of their home is underground. While the common people live in houses more like The Shire, the castle where Princess Ro’sa grew up is much more futuristic, like the Enterprise built into a rock face. Most of my inspiration for this setting came from pictures I found on Pinterest and my own imagination. With this type of dwelling, the temperature is much more regulated, decreasing the need for air conditioners and furnaces. And this environmental aspect is one of the reasons the people of Earth have traveled to Minjet. That, and to bring Princess Ro’sa back to marry the prince from their planet.
When Princess Ro’sa does arrive on Earth, she finds herself underground again, but not anything like her dwelling back home. Rust drips down metal walls, metal doors creak open, and it is cold. Inspiration for this setting came more from watching shows and reading articles about abandoned buildings and cities. And from stories my father told me about underground complexes in Canada.
In the first case, people live underground as that is how they live. They don’t know any different. And on Earth, they are underground for their safety. In both cases, I think I could live underground, but I would still yearn to go outside, feel the sunshine and the rain.

GIVEAWAY!
What about you? Could you live underground? Which type of underground dwelling would you prefer? Leave your answer in the comments below to win one of my backlist titles from Decadent Publishing. Contest is international, but void where prohibited by law. Must be 18 or older to enter. Good luck!

A Beyond Fairytales story
New Adult Erotic Sci-Fi Romance
ISBN: 978-1-61333-765-3

In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radiant blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her.
Earth’s post-apocalyptic landscape offers little but the alliance offers much and a princess must do her duty, no matter the danger to her person and to her heart.
Available from: Amazon | Decadent | more

Excerpt:
At the whoosh of the space shuttle flying overhead, the feline on Ro’sa’s knee hissed before jumping to the floor. Ro’sa hurried to the front of the house, pressing her palms and nose against the window. Somewhere in that ship was her betrothed, the prince from Earth she would marry.
Ka’lyn, her best friend, squeezed in beside her, claiming the rest of the available window space. “What do you think he looks like? I’ve never seen anyone from Earth before. Maybe he has two heads, or one eye....” She nudged Ro’sa’s side. “Two cocks?”
“Ka, really?” Flaring heat rushed to Ro’sa’s cheeks and temporarily paused the fluttering of firetubes in her stomach. In seven rotations, she would say good-bye to her home, her family, and all of her friends to be with a complete stranger. She’d grown up knowing this time would come, but it had always seemed so far away. Until he’d arrived. Ro’sa swallowed her nerves. “His people just recently joined the Confederacy. I think the only reason they were invited was to prevent an intergalactic war when they learned of the existence of life beyond their own solar system.” They’d already destroyed most of their planet. Who knows what they would have done had the Confederacy not intervened?
Ka’lyn grabbed her shoulders and turned Ro’sa to face her. “I know all this, but what do they look like?”
“Humanoid, like us.” She searched her memory for the few Terran dignitaries she’d met. “But their skin is different shades of brown, from nearly white to almost black.” Though she had no idea where her betrothed fit into the spectrum, never having been allowed to travel to Earth. How she wished she had. If her parents had allowed them to meet earlier, she’d have far fewer worries and much more experience with how to interact with those from Earth, and with her betrothed. She’d retained her virginity for him, the only female her age on the planet who hadn’t experienced sex, though she hoped to know what it was like before she left for Earth.
“Weird. So, when do you get to meet him?”
“Tonight.” Ro’sa returned her gaze out the window, watching the shuttle descend onto the runway. Had the prince saved himself for her? “There’s an official introduction ceremony where we will shake hands and eat our first meal together.”
“That’s crap.” Her friend tugged on her fingers. “Let’s go meet him as he’s coming off the ship.”
Ro’sa shook her head, yanking her hand away. “I can’t. I have to follow protocol.”
“Then we’ll hide in the shrubs. Don’t you want to check him out before you’re introduced to him in front of everyone?”
Biting her bottom lip, Ro’sa watched the spacecraft disappear below the treetops. “I guess.” Then she wouldn’t look like a fool in her first reaction to him. She could hold her emotions in check, having already caught sight of the prince.
“Let’s go then.” Ka’lyn stood at the door before she had the chance to move.
They left her friend’s home behind. Darting through the woods on the packed dirt path, Ro’sa hoped they’d make it to the runway in time. If the castle guards hastened him away, they’d never make it in time. Why hadn’t her parents let her meet him years ago? Was he that horrendous looking? At least they could have shown her a picture.

Reaching for the Stars

By Stephanie Beck

I don’t remember when I read my first sci-fi story, but it had to be in my teens because I read constantly then. I read contemporary, inspirational, science fiction, fantasy, middle grade, new adult, romance, mystery, crime...just about everything except horror.
The sci-fi and fantasy reader in my family is my mother (so I really hope she likes Starlight Cowboy when she gets it), but I like it too! Sometimes I’m in the mood for something totally different, and yet with the familiarity of proper space protocol and limitations. When the call for Beyond Fairytales came, I was in such a mood. I wanted to write something a little out there, a little different, but still a sexy love story.
Shields and Annalina made it so easy to follow my whim of the moment. They wanted to fly, have fun, and even if they didn’t know it right of the bat, they did want to fall in love.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the fairytales as they come out, and I’m so happy that Starlight Cowboy is joining the Beyond Fairytales family!

Starlight Cowboy
By Stephanie Beck

From the storybook of the stars.
A groundbreaking mission to the moons of Jupiter should have been Annalina's big ticket for advancement, but instead of captaining her own ship, she's second fiddle to Shields Albright.

Playboy, adventurer, immature.
Shields has been called it all, but really, he just wants to fly and hasn’t spent a lot of time on his social skills. Mutual attraction grows as the walls of the space ship close in, and they come to an arrangement that satisfies them both, while allowing them professional distance. The distance doesn’t last, not as they grow to understand themselves…and each other as someone who just fits.

Not all is as it should be among the stars.
Their ship is attacked, and the moons of Jupiter are not exactly untouched when they finally arrive. The little world they’ve built high above terra firma is about to smack down in the middle of a dangerous, maybe even deadly, reality. If Shields didn't attract trouble like fireflies on a bug zapper, the two might have an actual shot at true love.

Book Birthdays, Story Ideas and a Giveaway!

by Jessica E. Subject

This month, I’m celebrating three book birthdays, the third being this coming Sunday for Crash Landing, a sci-fi ménage erotica story that is part of Decadent’s The Edge line.
Now, some stories take me some time to come up with. I see a scene or hear a conversation in my head, and over time, I develop a story from there. With some lines, I’m given an idea, and I have to develop a story from there. Sometimes these can be very difficult for me. I usually end up getting stuck in a plot hole. But, Crash Landing started much the same way as my first published erotica story, The Power of Three, through an email conversation. I was finishing up edits on Satin Sheets in Space, and my editor for that story, Kate Richards, and I were joking around about the blue aliens in many of my stories.
The conversation started like this:

Kate: ...I was giggling thinking about your blue heroes.  You can make even blue dudes sexy. :)
Me: What do you mean? Blue dudes ARE sexy. LOL
Kate: You know I hear indigo is an especially hot color for outer space guys...not turquoise, NOOOO
Me: …yes, indigo is for space aliens. Turquoise is for underwater hunks. Oohh, new story idea. LOL
Kate (after a bunch of other emails that day): Can you submit the ms by dinnertime? Oops, it is dinnertime, ok you can write the next one by the morning
Me: What ms??
Kate: The indigo space guy,,,or the turquoise underwater guy!
Me: Oh, that ms. Well, it's going to have to go onto my list.
Kate: OMG, can you see the indigo space guy and the turquoise water guy doing the deed? Are the plot bunnies hopping?
Me: Yep, yep, yep... LOL
And so Crash Landing was born.

Giveaway!
What about you? Do you like blue dudes? What color would you prefer a sexy extraterrestrial being to be? Leave your answer in a comment below WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS for your chance to WIN an ebook of Crash Landing! Must be 18 or older to enter.

Crash Landing
A story from The Edge
By Jessica E. Subject
Sci-Fi MMF Ménage Erotica
ISBN: 978-1613333884
As his ship plummets toward Earth, Cael believes his life to be over. His last ditch effort to save himself ends in a fiery crash. When he wakes up, he believes he’s entered the afterlife, but his surroundings indicate otherwise. He made it to Earth. But who saved him, and what do they want with him?

Available from:
Book Trailer:

Excerpt:
Cael gripped the cushioned arms of the captain’s chair as his ship tumbled bow over stern. The console flashed a blinding red in front of him. Piercing alarms drilled into his mind and he lost focus. The seconds raced by as he plummeted toward Earth. He’d fucked up this mission of peace. Contact with his home planet had ended months ago. No one from Narien could save him now. His death was imminent.
The water below wouldn’t soften his landing. At its current speed, his ship would disintegrate on splashdown. The planet’s gravity pulled him down faster.
He coughed; the acrid scent of fried electronics stung his nose and the back of his throat. Please let my death be quick.
A rattling to the left caught his attention above all other noise. The handle on the cabin door shook. Freedom. It wasn’t his time to die, if he could get out.
The altimeter on the dashboard read six thousand meters, high enough to jump and land safely with his chute. Only to land in frigid water and die of exhaustion or hypothermia from treading without any hope of a rescue.
“Shit.” But he’d die if he stayed. He had to take the chance. Yanking off his safety harness, he pulled himself to standing and strained to reach the recess where his pack hung. Stretching up, he fingered the cloth strap. Not close enough to grab hold of it.
The ship jolted and flung him to the stern. He weaved his arm through the straps of the pack on his way past, dislodging it from the hook. Yes.
His triumph was short-lived as he flew starboard, smashing his shoulder against the wall. He groaned when an electrifying spasm shot down his arm to the tips of his fingers. The ship lurched again, and he tumbled back toward the console. He grabbed the door, his feet dangling in mid air. If he didn’t get out now, he’d forfeit any chance to survive.
The ship righted again. He planted his feet against the bottom of the door and twisted the crank. The latch snapped open, filling him with a sense of hope. Careful to keep at least one hand on the handle at all times, he slung the pack over his shoulders.
All set. Time to jump. Pushing off the floor, he slammed his uninjured shoulder against the door. It blew open and tore away from its hinges, lost to the sky.
Cael teetered on the edge before plunging out of his failing ship. Wind whipped all around him as he twisted to catch his bearing during freefall.
Glancing down, he spied crystal blue lake, much closer than he’d expected. Too close.
He jerked the cord on his chute–several hundred feet lower than he should have. At least. His feet skimmed the cold waves just as his chute caught the current and heaved him back into the air.
The ship splashed into the water beside him, disintegrating into millions of pieces. He raised his hands in front of his face as shrapnel flew at him. Tiny shards sliced into his arms and legs, but the extreme heat from the cloud of steam billowing up at him stung the most.
From the moment his toes touched down in the once frigid water, his skin sizzled. He screamed in agony. His death would have been quicker and less agonizing if he’d remained in the ship.
A hard piece of his spacecraft smashed down on his head, and he welcomed the darkness.

Do you Dream of the Future?

by Jessica E. Subject
In the books I read, as well as those I write, I like to imagine what the future will be like. Will we live in a dystopian future or a utopian one, where no one wants for anything. Or perhaps a dystopian future disguised as a utopian one... Will we finally work together to save our Earth from global warming or be forced to leave and settle on another planet, maybe even a space station? Will we be fighting aliens for our planet, or still be fighting each other? Will human cloning happen? Will robots take over?
All of these are questions that authors and screenwriters have asked themselves. You can see many of these examples in movies and fiction. These are the same questions I ask myself when sitting down to pen a story.
In The Underground series, I imagined a future where a great catastrophe has occurred, wiping out most of the world. In the part of the world where the story is set, a corporation runs society, and tries to not only control who people fall in love with, but also, who’s allowed to procreate. But, the Underground refuses to accept their control. And while the corporation is busy trying to establish a colony on a new planet, the Underground is preparing to fight for their rights back.
Made For Her is a story of love, lies and deceit that takes place at a time when human cloning has been approved for military use. And many of my other stories involve first contact with extraterrestrial life.

Question: What do you think the future will like in one hundred years? What will change and what will be the same?

Giveaway!
Answer the above questions and leave your email address for your chance to WIN an ebook of one of my Decadent Publishing titles. Contest is international. Must be 18 or older to enter. Good luck!

Sent to Airondelle, she must work with a team to prepare the newly discovered planet for colonists from Earth. But the mission does not go as she expected. Attempting to break free from the lies that bind her, she discovers Planet Core has deceived everyone. And when she returns to Earth, Calla learns just how far Planet Core’s control reaches.

Available From:

Excerpt from Never Gonna Let You Go:
Anger pierced every word. “Now, go back to Edwards. Have your happily-ever-after and leave me be.”
Her words stung, yet Calla didn’t believe her. Melina spun away to leave again, but Calla managed to grab a strap on the pack and pulled her off her feet. She stared down at Melina in the grass, satisfied by the look of shock on her face.
“What’s going on? I don’t believe you only wanted sex.”
“Calla, it’s something you don’t want to be involved in.” Her hard glare reflected her tone. “I suggest you leave Planet Core when you get back to Earth.”
What did PC have to do with any of this? She stared down at her commander. “Unlike you, they’ve been nothing but good to me. I have no reason to leave them.”
Melina pushed to her feet and brushed off her pants. “Well then, you can be the boss’ pet. Don’t doubt for one second that Malock won’t start using you toseduce everyone they want out of the program since I’m not going back.”
Calla stood there, baffled. Did PC really work that way? “But…. I would never do that to Erik.” Wait, had she already resolved to let him back in her life?“You’d be surprised what you’d do for the one you love.” Melina bowed her head and rushed away from her.
