Scary Weather!

My upcoming F/F 1NS release, Rescue Me, centers around my two heroines, Abigail and Carlita, getting caught in some pretty rough weather. It’s a storyline I can relate to living in the Midwest, and more specifically Tornado Alley.

Once upon a time I had a healthy respect for tornadoes. In childhood we spent many an hour in my grandmother’s cellar, waiting storms out. My family also, from time to time, drove out to watch funnel clouds that were a safe distance away. We would check out nearby places torn to bits by tornadoes. It’s wild want twisters can do. Drive blades of grass into trees, gut a house while two homes on either side are untouched, pick up livestock (or people) and set them down a mile away unharmed.

I’ve seen horse trailers in trees, round bales of hay weighing over a ton pitched around like tumbleweeds, metal wrapped around trees, the list goes on and on.
Then there was the night I had to ride one out in my mobile home. My mom and I had gone to bed in a thunderstorm watch. At the time I didn’t get nervous with the promise of storms, and I wasn’t worried. Around midnight I awoke with an eerie feeling. I couldn’t pin it down and I got up and looked out my bedroom window. A bit of thunder and lightning, the dogwood tree outside was swaying a bit with the wind, nothing too dramatic. Yet, I couldn’t shake the bad feeling as I watched the wind stop completely and all fell still.

Suddenly BOOM the tree flattened to the ground, and I heard the roar barreling down on us like a freight train—literally happened in the blink of an eye.
Terrified, I ran to wake my mom. She jumped out of bed and we dashed to the front door, hoping to make it across the road to our neighbors who have a basement. The front door wouldn’t budge, thanks to suction from the tornado, even though we both tried, which probably saved us in the end.

With no other choice we ran to the bathroom and climbed into the bathtub. We had to shout to be heard over the horrendous howl of wind. The mobile home popped and cracked while the floor bucked (the place is tied down by logging chains attached to large cement pillars driven in the ground.) I expected the whole place to blow apart any second. My mom was sobbing, but I think I was overwhelmed to the point it didn’t feel real. How could I possibly have gotten stuck in a mobile home in the middle of a tornado? They tell people to get in ditches as a last resort, just don’t stay in mobile homes.

It seemed to last forever, but honestly I’d say maybe only a couple of minutes, before the roar moved on. By some miracle the mobile home held together. When we came out of the bathroom we found the front door had blown open and the living room was soaked. Outside, our fruit trees were twisted off, limbs and trees were down here and there. Our neighbors looked barely touched with only a few limbs down. The twister had been small, a zero or one, with wind speeds around 100+ mph. Lucky us!

Now I’m terrified of bad weather, particularly wind. My healthy respect has turned into a full on phobia, but can you blame me? Even today, tornadoes are elusive. We didn’t even have a thunderstorm warning that night. The huge F-5 Joplin, Mo, tornado that wreaked havoc with 300+ mph winds remained invisible to radar in the beginning. They didn’t know about it until it started ripping apart their hospital like a piñata.

If you live in Tornado Alley (or thinking of moving here) PLEASE don’t take our weather lightly! Keep an eye on the sky and take watches/warnings seriously.

This wraps up my public service announcement, as you were J

Romancing the Were....

by Mina Carter

I may have blogged on this before. The appeal of werewolves in romance, or shifters in general. I write all kinds of shifter, from the werewolves in the Lyric Hounds series right through to werehedgehogs in another (yup, you read that. Were-hedgies. They’re cute ;) and fun).

So back to the popularity. The myth of the werewolf has been part of folklore since right back to ancient times, although back then a werewolf was something to be scared of, rather than a hot guy (or gal). Interestingly, Lycanthropy is a clinical name for someone who is under the delusion that they are a wolf, but since films from the 1940’s our perception of werewolves has been more shaped by popular culture than old tales from folklore or medical science.

Perhaps one reason we find weres so fascinating is the danger / impossible element
Available HERE
of the romance. A lot of books deal with a human heroine and a werewolf hero. He’s bad, he’s dangerous, but so
hot. There’s a saying that all girls want to tame a bad boy but let’s be honest, if a guy pulled half of the stunts we read about, he’d be out on his ear. No thank you, sunshine. (At least he would with me! I like my life nice and uncomplicated, thank you very much!) These romances allow us to live through this sort of bad-boy impossible romance from the comfort of our arm-chair, a little escapism from reality into a world where that sort of thing is possible. And can be safely packed away, the book closed or the eReader shut down when we’re ready J

So, tell me. In the world of impossibly bad-boy romances, what shifters are your favourite? Leave me a comment and I’ll pick a random winner for an eCopy of the first in my Lyric Hounds series, Melody’s Wolf.

***

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.

So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...

(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)

The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.

One Night with the Bridal Party Series

by Sara Daniel

One Night with the Bridal Party is a subseries of Decadent Publishing’s popular 1Night Stand line. One Night With the Bride and One Night With the Bridesmaid share the same opening scene where the bride’s mother presents each woman with a one-night stand a week before the wedding.

The series kicks off with One Night With the Bride.

When her society matron mother presents Caroline with a one-night stand date a week before her wedding, she’s appalled. Even worse, the encounter will take place at the fantasy ranch resort operated by her high school lover, Javier Alvarado. Although determined to remain faithful to her fiancé, she’s tempted and intrigued to see her first love again. It’s not like she has to sleep with him.

But one look and kiss later, she yearns for the man she walked away from so long ago. Unfortunately, when Javier discovers Caroline is engaged, all he can see is deception and heartbreak all over again.

Can a 1Night Stand from Madame Eve reunite them or will one night with the bride sever their ties forever?

Then the Bridesmaid gets her story in One Night With the Bridesmaid:

Gifted with a 1Night Stand, Sabrina Lopez decides to use the chance to hook up with a man who knows how to give a woman pleasure—a man she’d never have the nerve to approach in real life. Madame Eve exceeds her expectations with the opportunity of a lifetime—and the man of her dreams, movie director Rob Wellington. He might be out of her league, but she’s willing to risk it all for one night.

Believing Sabrina responsible for breaking up his brother’s wedding, Rob sets out to stop her from scamming her way into the groom’s bed—even if he has to take his brother’s place. The last thing he expected to discover was a woman he could love and hold for the rest of his life—if he can convince her that he wants more than one night….

I’m sure you’ve noticed that the poor Groom has been twisting in the wind since Caroline left him. Fear not! He’s about to meet up with the woman from his past who still holds his heart captive despite him spending fifteen years trying to forget her. Look for One Night With the Groom coming later this year from Decadent Publishing!

On a Paradise Island, What Could Go Wrong...?

Turns out – quite a lot!

By Zee Monodee

Hello, beautiful people!

I hail from a beautiful island located in the Indian Ocean – Mauritius. Imagine white, sandy beaches; crystal-clear, blue, aqua, & turquoise lagoons; spectacular coral reefs; sun shining for 300+ days a year; temps rarely, if ever, going lower than the eighties on the coasts. Take this up another notch – you have just about every race and religion of the world living side by side as friends, neighbours, colleagues, even family....

Paradise on Earth, innit?

Not so fast.... Because, you know, there is always another side....

It’s not really bleak. Like, it’s not Hell, you know.... But it’s not exactly a piece of cake, either. Why don’t I let some of my Mauritian heroines tell you about this state of affairs?

In Once Upon a Stormy Night, Simmi Moyer is a young, rich, and up-and-coming executive vice-president of legal affairs in a big local conglomerate that went international. She’s made it, right? Not so fast....

“One would think that career success and personal fortune would pave the way for all the good of this world, but you’d be wrong. At least here, in Mauritius, it doesn’t work this way. Because, you see, I’m in my thirties...still childless, and worse, single! And when you know I come from two distinct worlds – my father was white; my mother of Indian origin – you’d suppose I’d be a bridge between our different ‘clans’, right? Wrong. I don’t belong on either side. I’m only at my place in my job, but how long can a woman draw her fulfilment from stepping up the career ladder alone?
Is it any wonder, then, that I asked for help from Madame Eve? Even for one night, I yearn to be a woman, to be my own person, with a man who’d take me for who I am in my heart and soul, and not for everything I represent in this society. Too much to ask? I hope Madame Eve and 1NightStand can deliver....”

Once Upon a Second Chance doesn’t have a Mauritian heroine per se, but British-born Leila Al-Nadir, with her Arab roots, finds herself on this island that looks like Paradise, but is merely the confines of her own version of Purgatory....

“I’ve known Hell, and that was in the household of my first husband...‘husband’ being a loose term, given how my father sold me to that old man to become his broodmare, back in the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi became my prison...until someone freed me...to then drop me in to this Paradise that feels like Purgatory.
What sins have I committed to be first abused by a man for a decade, then freed, to be loved and cherished for one night by my saviour, and for this said saviour to then strike me out of his life as if I were a bug on a windshield? For, you see, Khalid Al-Nadir, that good Samaritan, married me, made me his wife even in his bed, and then drugged me...to leave me, all alone, waking up in an unknown household in Mauritius. A land where I should be free, where I should belong...but where I exist as a shadow of that former self I hardly remember....
His stepmother – yes, there is a story there, but I won’t rehash it now – wants me to move on, and her solution comes through setting me up on a blind date with Madame Eve’s 1NightStand service. Is that Eve woman a miracle worker? Because nothing short of a miracle is going to make me want to embrace life again.... Can she work such a coup?”

Born of Mauritian parents in London, Lara Reddy, the heroine of The Other Side, is the ultimate big-city, Western cosmopolitan girl. While climbing the rungs of the corporate ladder, she falls short from another raised dais – that of her decade-long, arranged marriage to a ‘proper’ boy of Indian origin. Back to Square One, she finds herself in Mauritius....and it really is Hell for her!

“I only got divorced, for God’s sake. Not like I was sentenced to solitary confinement for life after a serial killing rampage or anything! But this is the year 2000 in this backward society that still clings to the mores and traditions of an era long gone by. Divorce = making the divorced woman a pariah; the man still gallivants around like nothing ever happened to tar his image! Don’t the woman ever dare to step out of this reclusive box society has forced her into!
But you know, Hell got its name because everything that can go worse there does get even more awful. Like when you happen to cross paths with your first love – the one that got away – and it turns out he is still a member of the aristocrats-like descendants of the island’s white settlers, and you’re nothing but the great-great-granddaughter of those indentured coolies brought to this island to work the sugar cane fields owned by these very same white folks....
And when you’re already in Hell, what have you got to lose, right? I have so much at stake...so much that kept me from giving everything to my first love all those years earlier when we were teenagers. Is it time, maybe, to step onto the other side...?”

Dilemmas, drama, secrets, disclosure...all paving the way for what these women hope will be their destination of fulfilment and belonging, of becoming their own person all while the support of a good man keeps them steady.

Is that too much to ask? Can Simmi, Leila, and Lara get their wish? Find out when you check their stories!

From Mauritius with love,

Zee is an author who grew up on a fence - on one side there was modernity and the global world, on the other there was culture and traditions. Putting up with the culture for half of her life, one day she decided she'd stand tall on her wall and dip toes every now and then into both sides of her non-conventional upbringing.
From this resolution spanned a world of adaptation and learning to live on said wall. The realization also came that many other young women of the world were on their own fence.
This particular position became her favorite when she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of writing - her heroines all sit 'on a fence', whether cultural or societal, in today's world or in times past, and face dilemmas about life and love.

LIONS AND TWINKS AND BEARS, OH MY!

Well there really aren't any lions in BEAR IT ALL, but it just sounded funnier that way, don't ya think? Well, everybody loves a twink/bear story. In my first 1Night Stand book, I play on this m/m trope and the result is a sexy story of misunderstanding with a HFN and a tropical setting. I think the result is really a short fun read

BLURB:
Travis hired the 1 Night Stand agency because he wanted a hot encounter with his dream man...a sexy older, hairy man and John looks custom made to order.

John, after losing his partner three years ago, is looking to learn how to accept another man into his bead again, to learn to live again. He thinks a one night stand in the Caribbean is the answer. But when John sees the young, thin and much smaller Travis he thinks the agency sent the wrong man.

Will Travis get his bear after all?
Will John open his heart to the unexpected?

EXCERPT:
Damn, Madame Eve knew how to deliver.
Unable to believe his luck, Travis Hunter half wondered if the woman had somehow snooped in his private spank-bank of fantasies to create the man just for him.
John Godfrey—well, that was the name he’d given 1NightStand. Travis still couldn’t be sure if others had been as dumb as himself and actually given their real names to the service. Regardless, the name suited him. Simple and understated.
   Ironically, everything John was not.
His date—he couldn’t bear to think of him as only a hook-up—arrived on the pool deck moments after Travis ordered his second mojito. The man’s unbound, sandy blond hair fell almost halfway down his back, just begging for Travis to run his fingers through it. Even as all the tanned beach studs frolicked with their bikini-clad girlfriends and kids splashed about, John still managed to turn heads. Then again, not every day did someone tower over the crowd with six-foot-five inches of ripped, hair-covered muscles.
Travis swallowed back the drool when John gripped the back collar of his T-shirt with one hand and pulled it off before heading for the shallow end of the pool.
“Hey, get a load of the Grizzly Adams,” a girl nearby whispered. “Ever heard of a back wax?”
Travis shot the two girls a look as they fell into fits of hysterical giggles. He curled his lip in disgust, suppressing the urge to snarl at them. Bimbos. What the hell did they know about real men? Real men knew how to fix things. They drank beer and ate meat and potatoes—not salads and tofu. Big, masculine men could hold a guy up and fuck him against a wall so effortlessly he didn’t have to worry about being dropped.
And most of all: Real men had hair.
Lots and lots of delicious body hair.

Deanna Wadsworth might be a bestselling erotica author, but she leads a pretty vanilla life in Ohio with her wonderful husband and a couple adorable cocker spaniels. She has been spinning tales and penning stories since childhood, and her first erotic novella was published in 2010. When she isn’t writing books or brainstorming with friends, you can find her making people gorgeous in a beauty salon. She loves music and dancing, and can often be seen hanging out on the sandbar in the muddy Maumee River or chilling with her hubby and a cocktail in their basement bar. In between all that fun, Deanna cherishes the quiet times when she can let her wildly active imagination have the full run of her mind. Her fascination with people and the interworkings of their relationships have always inspired her to write romance with spice and love without boundaries.

Making it Real

Making it real, but not too real…

Most of my writing has a tendency to be intense and intricate but in the novella, Hanging by a Moment, I had to do something different.  I joked with my wonderful editor Kate Richards when I told her it “It takes me 30,000 words just to get to the first kiss.”  Well maybe it wasn’t a joke…  When I looked at some of my other books and searched for the first physical interaction between my H/h, yeah, it was almost 30K.  I try to immerse you, the reader, into the character’s world.  I want you to believe that at some point you’ve seen that guy or girl or you’ve passed that place and remember it the way I describe.  I also wanted to relate to situations we’ve all been through, an uncomfortable cocktail party or dinner or maybe a once in a lifetime encounter, maybe even your own self-doubt. My characters are real and most of time they’re you and the people you know.

Doing the unexpected…

I love a good twist.  My characters are older, middle aged, and when you’ve been in a long relationship suddenly finding yourself single,  middle-aged, and on the dating scene,  can be more terrifying than when you were eighteen and inexperienced.   The world can change drastically in the twenty plus years you’ve been married and comfortable.  You know there’ll be an HEA in my books, I love hearing, “I didn’t see that coming.”   In this 1NS my characters never really quite know what they’ll do about the dilemma Madame Eve has placed them in.  Madame, in all her infinite wisdom, knows they’ll eventually find each other but how they do it, I hope, puts a little different spin on your one night stand with Tom and Emily.
What I love about a one night stand….

Emily and Tom are real people with real lives, fears, and feelings.  I wanted to recapture the excitement of a new romance and make it magic by connecting them together in a unique way.   A one night stand can conjure negative images and when I first started this project that was a question I was asked, “Why are you doing a one night stand story?  It’s not your style.”  No it isn’t my style nor was it Tom and Emily’s but left in the capable hands of Madame Eve; it turns into an enchanting connection that will leave you breathless and hanging by a moment.  **wink**

Available HERE
Can a child’s party be the chance meeting of fate? When Tom Ryan accepts the invitation, he never guessed his life would change forever. Emily Sanchez is a gutsy artist finally starting to get the accolades she deserves for her controversial work. Emily and Tom turn to the 1NS Dating Service to ease the loneliness of their empty personal lives. Life throws dependable Tom and temperamental Emily a curve ball when they meet and discover a sizzling connection with one another. Madame Eve comes through but with the worst possible timing. Will Tom throw away a once in a lifetime chance with a woman who’s reached his grieving heart? Will Emily’s uncertainties make her turn away from a man who can provide stability to her chaotic artist’s soul? Will both reluctantly see through their commitment to Madame Eve’s one night stand? Or will they seize the night and submit to explore a hidden, dark desire that could seal them together forever?
STORY EXCERPT
“What do you think?” Emily slipped her arm into his.
“I love it. It’s my favorite here.”
“Is it?” He caught the mischievous spark in her eyes. Emily was up to no good. He found it amazing how swiftly he could be in tune with a woman who at first blush was his polar opposite. “Interesting….”
He gazed into her big brown eyes. It would be easy to get lost in those warm pools. But she presented a dangerous trap. Lucian was right, and he needed to make a decision about the direction and the type of relationship he wanted with this complicated, intelligent, and charming woman. He could lose his heart to her without realizing what had happened to him. Emily leaned in closer and sensually whispered in his ear, sending a shiver down his spine.
“So tell me, which one are you, Tom? Are you the loving Master, willing to do whatever it takes to tame your wayward slave? To teach her and show her what she’s been missing in her life?” He swallowed hard. Damn what a picture she painted. His cock immediately responded to her words and her touch. He closed his eyes when her lips brushed his earlobe. “Or, are you the submissive slave, bowing to his Mistress, willing to do anything to please her? Will you give her your very soul?”
Tom spun toward Emily. She had his future hanging by a moment with her wicked proposition. Which would he be? Her slave or Master? One thing was for sure, he wanted and needed Emily in his life. In her, his muse had returned. She could give him the passion, color, and creativity he’d believed had withered and eventually died. When his grief dissipated, work had become routine not the passion it once had been. He stared at a new source of inspiration but this muse had a dark side, one that would explore self-imposed taboos. She’d bring things out in him he’d never imagined expressing. She would own his soul, and he’d give it to her, willingly. But unlike his relationship with Karen, there would be no vacillation in power. Tom made his decision and, being as in sync as they were, he conveyed it to her when their eyes met. The understanding that lit up her face reinforced his belief they were meant to be. From the way she drew slightly away from him, he construed she understood him immediately.
“Interesting…very interesting,” she said in a sensual purr.

Betting on a God

Oh, my! What’s better than a fun time in Las Vegas? Having said fun with a god!

Courtney Sheets spins a sexy tale of romance in Betting on a God. Read it tonight, it’s worth the gamble!

Welcome to Mount Olympus, Sin City’s most opulent casino resort. Here you will be served the finest food, the most decadent wines, and every desire you crave. All provided for you by Dion Eliades, owner. And just like most things in Las Vegas, there is more to Mount Olympus and Dion than meets the eye.

After a thousand years, Dion, the Greek god of wine and merriment, is tired of playing human and wants to go home to Greece. That is, until he lays eyes on Sadie Flynn. Thanks to Madame Evangeline and 1Night Stand, this god is in for an adventure the likes of which he has never experienced. But only if Sadie agrees to bet on a god.

“Are you going to dance with me?”
“You’re doing a great job without me. Maybe I’ll just watch.” He smiled.
“Oh no, you don’t.” She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck, drawing him in close, brushing against him. Succumbing to her spell, he slid his arms around her waist, resting his palms on the small of her back. He urged her even closer until they touched, chest to chest, hips to hips.
She moved with him. He pressed against her, letting her feel his need for her. She gasped at the contact, her mouth parting slightly. Her gaze darted to his face.
“You can’t rub your gorgeous body on mine and not expect a reaction, agapi mou.” He leaned down and licked the soft skin of her neck. She shivered.
“What does that mean?”
“It is Greek for ‘my love.’”
“So, I take it you’re Greek.”
He leaned in and nuzzled her ear, inhaling the sweet scent of her. The rapid flutter of her heart, and the rush of her breath all told him how much she wanted him.
“Yes, I am full-blooded Greek. Born just outside of Athens.” He nibbled on her earlobe then ran his tongue along the delicate whorl of her ear. She shivered again.
“What are you doing to me?”
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to seduce you.” He skimmed kisses along her jawline.
“It’s working.”

The In Between

By Gracen Miller

We’re in between Christmas and New Years, and in between 2013 and 2014! This is the moment when we have high hopes for a new year, setting new year’s resolutions, and when we resolve to leave our wrongs in the past and start over fresh. We’ve all had those moments where we’re “in between” the bad and good? One wrong move and everything will crash and burn? Or if you navigate it just right, the payout will be huge? In my 1Night Stand book, Fairy Casanova, the main characters, Sadie and Jace, are in that “in between” moment in their lives.

Sadie wants one night with a stranger to forget the mess she’s made of her life. Jace wants one night with his fantasy, a human woman, before putting everyone else above his needs and becoming the crowned King of fairies. Both want something different than what they get, but the payout can be huge!

Jace isn’t afraid to face the challenge of a fidgety woman that fascinates him and her icy demeanor captivates him. He has one chance to make his fantasy come true—one night with a mortal woman—and he’ll make damn sure her desires are fulfilled too…

“I’m Jace.”
She swallowed and cleared her throat, but her voice came out low and raspy. “Sadie.”
He dipped his finger into the crystal glass she held poised below her chin. A fat droplet of liquor clung to his forefinger, and he spread it across her pouty bottom lip. Her eyes widened, and her breathing noticeably accelerated. As if prompted, her tongue swiped away the moisture, and his cock twitched in reaction.

Who wouldn’t want a Fairy Casanova dedicated to all their erotic pleasures? I sooo want one!! Sadie wants a man to make her forget her deplorable love life and a career that has shattered against unwise decisions…

His appearance fit none of the attributes she requested. She’d wanted tattoos and so many piercings he would disturb a satellite feed. With his tangible arrogance, he fit the attorney mold and represented the kind of courtroom scandal she wished to avoid. She hoped he wasn’t her one-nighter, but color her confused, because at the same time, she hoped he was. What a dilemma!
Her heartbeat quickened, remembering the way he’d smeared liquor across her lip. She took a deep breath as a flash of heat raced over her body. She definitely wanted him to be her lover for the evening.
“Are you sure you have the correct room?” She held her breath waiting, for his answer, as mixed desires torpedoed through her. She’d be horrified to discover too late he wasn’t her intended partner. His intense, honey-hued stare prickled her skin with awareness, and she couldn’t deny wondering what it might feel like to have him thrusting inside her. If he was in the right room, she’d soon find out. If he wasn’t, she would somehow wrangle her disappointment under control.
“Yes. Here’s my key.” He held up the plastic key card and tossed it casually on the mini-bar. Amusement crinkled the corners of his eyes.

But could you believe someone you just met if they told you they were a fairy? How would you react? With shock, or as Sadie…

She lived and breathed balderdash in the courtroom, and she could sniff out lies better than a hound dog could sniff out quarry. “You’re a fairy? Give me a break.”
“It’s true.”
Sadie glared at him, any amusement she might have felt shifting straight into irritation. “How fantastic for you.” And horrifying for me!

Fairy Casanova will take you on a wild sensual ride that’ll leave you panting right along with Jace and Sadie.

Thanks for joining me today! Happy belated holidays and I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!

Huggles,
Gracen Miller

Where you can stalk me—not really!—but I would love to meet and interact with you:

Las Vegas lawyer, Sadie Sinclair, has hit rock bottom. Bankrupt, with her reputation ruined, and her fiancé is yachting Aruba with a hot babe. Desperate for a break from reality, she contacts 1NightStand and is shocked to discover she’s been paired with a sexy fairy.

Jace is about to become King of the fairies. One minor glitch, he’s obsessed with humans. Before becoming King, he wants one night with a human before he’s forever forbidden from crossing into the human realm.  After a stellar night of sex, Jace is surprised to discover Sadie isn’t just a human, but his mate.  Complicating everything with the revelation, he’s willing to forfeit his kingdom for her, but Sadie must decide if he’s worth the biggest gamble yet.

Fairy Casanova Excerpt:

Knocking once to warn her of his arrival, he used the key card to let himself into the room. The door clicked shut behind him as he scanned the room for his evening’s companion.
“Hello,” she said when their eyes met.
Her sultry voice tempted him, much as a Siren lured a man to his demise against the rocky coast of her island. His mortal Siren offered him a shy wave.
“Want a drink?” She held up a goblet, half-full of amber liquor.
Her edginess socked his acute fairy senses like a blow to the gut.
Interesting. Why was she here then?
“No, thanks.” He moved toward her, intrigued by the competing vibes the woman evoked…reserved and salacious.
Maybe other men found the arctic chill of her gaze daunting. He found it intriguing, even challenging. Women would be envious and intimidated by her high-level eroticism.
Stunning, and nothing like the fairies he would command. Long, shiny, black hair framed her oval face. He couldn’t wait to get his fingers in the wavy locks. Gunmetal-silver eyes warily watched him. Rimmed in a thin stripe of black eyeliner and splashed with a smidge of dark-gray shadow, the contrast brought out the stellar shade of her irises. High cheekbones, a slightly upturned nose, and wide lips, naturally dark red, or she’d been biting them in anxiety. Unlike the diminutive fairy-women, she was tall—not more than an inch or two shorter than his five-ten height. Most female fairies barely reached his chest, which made her a charming oddity. And she owned killer curves—again, unlike most beanpole-thin fairies—and those curves were framed in an evocative, skintight, black cocktail dress.
Jace stopped in front of her and stared at her mouth. He knew many places he wanted those lips, but mostly he wanted them rounded on an orgasmic scream.
“You’re perfect. Stunning.”
She laughed, a charming sound, as a blush crept across her cheeks. For the first time since beginning his adventure, he considered the horrible ramifications of falling hard for a human. Impossible! There wouldn’t be enough time to grow attached to a one-night stand. Neither would his parents nor soon-to-be subjects approve.
