After a short burst of M/M romance and erotica (Perfect Ride and Lover Enslaved), I am returning to Decadent Publishing with a new story – this one a Grimm fairy tale re-telling. To say I changed it up a bit would be an understatement! Although I’m pretty sure the Grimm brothers had some wolf stories, I doubt they were wolf shifters!
My last M/F work
published with Decadent was a Science Fiction Romance involving a robot with
very handy removable parts (Download My Love). I have also written a
contemporary cream-puff obsessed woman and her sexy chef (Sweet Cravings), and
another SciFi Romance with Martians (The Trouble with Memories). The new book will be nothing like any of
those! Well, except for the fact it’s a romance.
The two main characters
are young and meant to be mates, but the woman’s father is the alpha male of
the pack, who’s been driven crazy by his witch wife. Yes, there are magical
elements here as well. Like a lot of Paranormal Romance, it includes more
fantasy elements than it might leave out….
There is also a very
short and snarpy dwarf – heads up, I’m a hardcore Tyrion fan! – and his
wife, who is a good witch. Our hero is
the pack’s Beta wolf and he has to come to grips with a lot of problems. First,
the alpha wolf kicks him out of the pack and then threatens the woman he loves.
What’s a Beta to do? There are times when you just can’t stand by and wait. He
reaches that time where action is paramount and he makes a grab for what he wants!
At the same time,
magical trouble is brewing and the forest may never be the same. Always there’s
a balance of power in a shifter pack, but what about outside their circle? Good
and bad magic must be balanced too, and there’s also the balance inherent in
nature. Even wolves must juggle different elements, just like we do! Right or
wrong, good or bad, it’s what makes fairy tales so interesting!
