Ann Mayburn
1. My hair color changes with the season. I'm usually dark brunette in the winter and caramel blond in the summer. With shades of red thrown in there every once in a while.
2. I used to be big into the Detroit Techno scene 'back in the day'. If you live near Detroit, you must attend the Detroit Electronic Music Festival for people watching on Memorial Day Weekend.
3. I love playing the nickel slot machines. Fifty bucks in nickels lasts forever!
4. I crochet blankets for all the babies in my family. With seven brothers and sisters...that's a lot of babies.
5. I taught myself to crochet via YouTube.
6. I'm short, really short. Like if I go to an elementary school the 6th graders are taller than me short.
7. I want to be Stevie Nicks when I grow up, or Bette Midler. Or just dress like Stevie Nicks and have the big, beautiful brass balls of Bette Midler.
8. My husband tears up at chick flicks while I groan and roll my eyes.
9. I own and enjoy shooting guns.
10. My husband owns the guns because it's one of his hobbies. I own guns because I'm getting ready for the zombies. Seriously.

Well, we have some things in common--changing hair color (altho for me it's just because they discontinued the one I first started using in January when I dyed for the first time) and I'm short, too (5'1"). The new book looks intriguing. My new critique partner is a paranormal writer. I need all the examples I can get so I can help her. Only in hers the demons are the bad guys. So, yours is...intriguing!
Ann - what fun facts! I also taught myself to crochet via youtube -- did you watch Theresa with The Art of Crochet? She's the best.
Thanks for sharing. Your story looks like steamy fun! And I'll keep an eye out for those zombies. ;)
It's amazing the things you can learn to do via youtube! I've picked up all kinds of iMovies tricks on there :) Yeay for YT! But I have a question...what the heck is Detroit Techno? I guess YT will have that answer..off to have a look!
Hahaha at the Zombies! I learned to knit on the internet..and spin yarn.
When is your zombie romance book coming out?
'He caressed her hand lovingly...and it fell to the ground.'
Ah, zombies and guns...go together like vampires and garlic... ;-)
I'm very impressed that you taught yourself how to crochet by watching Youtube--that's amazing.
And I'd like to be Stevie Nicks too, but for a slightly different reason--I'd love to sing like her. What a beautiful voice!
Thanks so much for all of the kid replies. I love that so many of you have used YouTube to teach yourself new things. :) What a fantastic world we live in that pretty much anything we want to learn is but a goggle away.
Wow, that's a lot of crocheting. I want to learn how to shoot a gun. My DH keeps promising to take me out skeet shooting, but two years later, he still hasn't. LOL
Tell him to get right on it. It's only a matter of time before the zombies come, and then he'll be thankful for your skilled head shots. ;)
Oh my goodness!! I have guns for zombies too! Since I was a kid I've had a strategy planned out in case my house is ever attacked by any supernatural creature. At 32, I still have various weapons stashed about the house. However, if it's a ghost, I am so screwed.
Funny. Good to get to know you better. We all have a few things that makes us weird (but fun).
I love the guns...zombies are just scary!!
What fun facts. If Zombies invade, can I stay at your house??
I'm starting to worry about these zombies...thankfully I'm getting lots of armchair practice by playing Zombie Lane. :)
I also loved Stevie Nicks and her gravelly voice.
My ex-fiance' also cried at chick flicks while I rolled my eyes too.
I loved Daughter of Lust. Check out my review at www.goodreads.com/wildaboutbones
I would love to win a copy of Ann Mayburn's shifter erotic paranormal romance, Amber Moon!
Detroit Techno?
