What is it that draws
us to the creatures of the night? Werewolves and vampires in particular are the
heroes and heroines we gobble up most in romantic fiction. Even before Twilight
became a pop culture fad, we had Fright Night, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel
just to name a few.
I see it as a way to
keep our oldest legends alive in the twenty-first century, a link with our
pasts we can’t let go of even if we don’t realize it. Today, superstitious fear
doesn’t play as big a role in Western culture, so we’ve adapted these baddies
in a way we won’t lose them.
What are your
thoughts on today’s twists on old legends? I’ll pick a winner at random to win
something from my Decadent backlist!

A 1Night Stand Story
Kat goes on the prowl looking for a one
night stand to rile up her new friends. A little shock and awe to keep her sane
in a life no longer hers. When she’s matched with Jared through 1Night Stand,
he seems perfect for her plans. Conservative, sweet, and sexy as sin, she’s
ready for one hell of a ride.
But Jared is more than she bargained for—much more. And when her plans for amusement turn dangerous will the two find a way to stay alive?
Genre: Paranormal, erotic romance, suspense/thriller, shapeshifters, vampires/werewolves
