If FALLENWOOD were made into a movie...

 by Leslie Soule

Hello everyone! For my Show & Tell piece, I want to explore the idea of who I would cast if Fallenwood were ever to be made into a movie.
“And if you are groovy, then get in my movie!” ~ Jack Black from Tenacious D

Ash: I was looking for a young woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. Then I came across photos of Ashley Greene, from the Twilight movies (she plays Alice) and I thought, “Eureka!” Not only would she fit the part perfectly, but her name can be shortened to Ash.

Will Everett: My sorcerer. I came upon a photo of Gem Jean Marc Danois and instantly said to myself, “There you are, Will!”

Greymalkin: I took this photo from a list of adoptable cats on the ASPCA website. This little guy’s name is Hendrix.

Terces: Oh, my jester. I had the hardest time finding someone who could play Terces. Then I remembered an actor from Throne of Blood at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, and I knew I’d found my Terces.

Prince Edward: Last but not least, I had to find a Prince Edward. And I must say, there is a deplorable lack of cute blond guys in Hollywood! Most shameful! But I finally settled on Hayden Christensen as Prince Edward.

What fun, Leslie! I love assigning actors and actresses to my book characters. And you're right, it can be very difficult finding the perfect matches. :)

I agree there's a deplorable lack of hot blond guys in Hollywood, but Hayden's already booked to play Martin in my movie. And you can't have Leonardo DiCaprio either. You don't know what I went through to sign him on as Adrian!

Oh, wait, they're both too old for the parts now. Darn. Okay, you can have Hayden.

Yay! :)
As for Adrian, I know the perfect guy who could play the part, but he's not an actor. However, he's a left-handed blond martial artist pilot! *Leslie swoons*
He's my grappling buddy at the martial arts studio...

Well cast. I'm buying my popcorn.

What a wonderful cast, Leslie! Your feline choice looks exactly like a cat I once had, named Rocky.

Great Casting! I love doing this with books. You've got a pretty looking cast there, that's for sure. You sure about Hayden? There are more blond guys in Hollywood, and you could always have a brunet fake it :-)

Thanks everyone! And how funny, Kathleen - I have a cat named Rocky!!! He's a Maine Coon though.
Ha ha Robert - I could always have a brunette fake it, huh...very true...
