10 Reasons to Date a Vampire

By Cara Bristol

You can’t believe everything you read on the internet and that holds true for the misinformation about vampires, who’ve been dissed as bloodsucking predators. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In writing A Scent of Longing, a vampire 1Night Stand story, I learned that vampires make exemplary mates. So if you’re looking for love, ladies, don’t discount the vampire bachelor out of hand.  Here are ten reasons to date a one:

Killer smile

They love the nightlife. You’ll never hear, “I’m too tired to go out tonight.”

Ugly vampires?  Don’t exist. The phrase “tall, dark and handsome” could have been coined to describe male vamps.

Legendary sexual prowess and skill in bed

Imbued with super strength. You’ll never have to get help moving that piano up a flight of stairs

They never need to shave, so they don’t leave whiskers in the sink

They never ask, “What’s for dinner?”

Old money. Vampires are immortal. Due to the benefits of compounded interest over centuries, they tend to be wealthy, but money isn’t important to them, because it’s just money, so they’re modest about their immodest wealth.

Vamps mate for life so there are no ex-wives to contend with

They’re really good at keeping secrets – so good you probably have dated a vampire, but didn’t know it.

I'd like to add one reason why NOT to! They eat so messily!! Why is that? Did they never learn manners!!!

Thank you, Wildcat's Wife. Two Crain & Barbara, you make me laugh.

I agree one could come up with a lot of reasons for NOT dating a vampire. Lily in A Scent of Longing would share your views. She does not trust vamps.
