Freak Week Day 3: Talking Freak Tradition With Rachel

The Freak Sorority is the brainchild of Decadent Author, Stephanie Beck. A free series chronicling the lives of paranormal best friends and sorority sisters, The Freak Sorority celebrates sisterhood relationships and the joys and struggles they face. This is the third-annual Freak Week and with an intense fan-following, the event continues to grow. Starting as an impromptu trivia contest, Freak Week now includes trivia, blog hopping and an internet-wide scavenger hunt. Copies of Stephanie Beck’s Panties Optional and Felines and Flowers are up for grabs in today’s give-aways. Find more details at www.stephaniebeck.net

Hello and welcome to day three of Freak Week. My name is Rachel, and I am a succubus. I’ve been a Freak Sorority sister since the seventies when I ran into Sara in a strip club. I’m still not sure why she was there, but what can I say? Being part of the Freak Sorority has given me the female fellowship I’d been missing in my life as a demon and I’m proud to be a  member.
This past year has found me in a familiar place as I once again undertake the task of detailing the lives and traditions of the Freak Sorority. Since meeting Nick (yes, he also goes by Santa Clause) I’ve been able to focus more on being a librarian and less on...well, being an insatiable succubus.
I’m putting together a full handbook on the Freak Sorority, you know, one of those manifestos that would get you killed if you read if when you weren’t supposed to. For now it’s under lock and key on my computer, but one day I’ll get it on paper, bind it and curse the hell out of it. I even have plans of not telling Pammy the correct spell to open it, but shhhh, let’s not mention that.
I’m finding as I work, that our lovely sorority is missing a few things other sororities have. So far we do have a flower (red roses, long stem), a song (Hey There Little Red Riding Hood) and our founding mother, Sara, is pitching hard to have diamonds be our jewel. I’m not saying diamonds are a bad thing, but I’m more of a ruby girl myself.
But in other categories, we’re lacking. For instance, we have no motto, official badge, official crest or jewel. But most importantly, we have no official drink. The other things will come together, but I could use some help.
Today I’m on a mission to find a cocktail to commission as our official Freak Sorority beverage of choice. I’ll be on Facebook and Twitter today, chatting and doing a little trivia. I’d also love to have drink pictures posted on Facebook—it’s always nice to spruce the place up. Join me at www.facebook.com/StephanieBeckAuthor to visit. I’ll be there until at least 10:00 PM central standard time, so stop by any old time.

Orgasmic Fantasy

1 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1/2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
2 tsp vanilla extract

Pour vodka into a cocktail glass over crushed ice. Add the bailey's, kahlua, and vanilla extract. Stir, and serve

I really picked this based upon the name seemed Steph Beck appropriate, but it does sound quite good.

Wow, both sound AMAZING. I have a feeling I'll be making a liquor store run soon...you know, for important testing purposes. Thanks ladies! You're entered for the contests and a chance to win Run Devil Run from Decadent Publishing.

Hey it is Freak Week so a Scooby Snack (shot) seems in order. It is sweet and delicious and the weird green of the mist that always swirled through Scooby Doo. (No I am not referring to the pot smoke that can out of the van.)

1.5oz. Midori (melon liqueur)
1.5 oz. Malibu (coconut rum)
1 oz. pineapple juice
a slash of cream or half and half

Makes four/five shots or one drink.

Here is an easy and yummy one that seems appropriate for this group.

Slow Comfortable Screw

1 oz sloe gin
1/2 to 1 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
orange juice

Pour liquor over ice in a short glass, add OJ.

I am a lightweight when it comes to drinks so I make Long Slow Comfortable Screws by using a tall glass and thus more OJ.

Are you ready? Well, im under age so no alcohol drink from me. lol My favorite drink is iced tea.
12 tea bags
1 1/4 cups of sugar
water

put the tea bags in a quart size pan, fill with water, put on high heat, then take off when boiling. Let sit for 5 minutes. Get a gallon jug/container, mix the suger with hot water, then pour into jug. take the tea bags out of pan and pour the tea into jug. then add water till the jug is full. Either stir or shake (depending on what type of container you used) and put in fridge. when done, put some ice in a cup and pour tea over it! Yummy! :)
Hope i can still enter contest. lol

*Rachel* Of course you're still entered! We don't need liquor to have a good time :)

Have you tried adding about 1/4 of a teaspoon to your tea? It cuts the itty bit of bitterness tea can have sometimes. Mmm, I love a cold glass on a hot day.

Thanks Shadow!

My favorite drink is water :( Or green tea with a bit of honey. YES I'm lame I know. In college we had a contest for the WORSE possible mixed drink. Non-alcoholic holiday spiced punch mixed with 2 shots tequila. Kind of tasted like pumpkin pie made with really cheap tequila. It was horrid, just horrid...

mmmm, that sounds like a yummy summer drink!
