Just the Facts with Gracen Miller!

Happy Friday the 13th!! I don’t think Friday the 13th is unlucky, but rather a lucky date on the calendar, so I was excited to discover I’d received this date! Woot!  Some unknown facts about myself…

I’m terribly shy and insecure in a crowd. I worry I’ll say something stupid and I usually do, but I always survive! I was told by a friend that when she first met me she thought I was a snob because I was so quiet, but she later learned it was shyness.

I don’t believe in coincidence, but believe we are each fated to cross the paths of particular people and particular events in our lives.  What you do with those experiences and what you learn is up to you.  The direction of our lives is not fated, however.

I know shorthand and my husband says it looks like Swahili gibberish.  I also won 3rd place in a shorthand competition in High School.  On a similar note, I can type 130 words per minute.  This talent amazes my children. LOL  They’re easily amazed. ;-)  They timed how fast I could type my son’s 15 spelling words the other day and I finished them in 11 seconds. They “OMG!” and “how do you do that” for several seconds.  I tried to convince them I was amazing, but they didn’t buy it.

Ghosts are real because I’ve seen several and I’ve communicated with them through mental pictures and smells. My eldest son has seen several ghosts, as well, along with several of my aunts.  While you’re thinking I’m crazy, yes, aliens exist too!

I’ve had more than one dream come true, some good and some bad.  I dreamed of the 2004 Indonesia Tsunami two nights before it happened.  In the dream I was floating above the earth watching the destruction, people were screaming and running as the wall of water rushed over land, destroying everything in its path. I was so disturbed by the realness of the dream, I told my husband about it the next morning.  When the Tsunami hit Indonesia two days later, I wasn’t just sick to my stomach, but freaked out, too!

I can successfully tell a pregnant mother the sex of her baby just by being in her presence.  I’ve only been wrong twice in a 25 year span.  In my Sunday School class, we had a rash of pregnancies over the course of two years, twenty babies in all were born.  (I refused to drink the water or coffee, it got so bad!)  I predicted the sex of all the unborn babies with 100% accuracy and one was a set of fraternal twins.  I became known as the “baby whisperer”. LOL

Yes, my muse IS real! He has a name (DM, initials for Dean-Muse), a voice that whispers in my head, and he drives me nUtTy on occasion. But I adore him too and I would be lost without his mutterings.  I like to think he’s a spirit guide or some other positive entity, because I really don’t like to think I’m CrAzY. ;-)

Aww Gracen! I love you even more after reading this! Your everyday life makes for entertaining reading! Maybe you should base your next character on yourself! Hugs to you my friend!

I spent a few years working at a metaphysical bookstore some years back and nothing surprises me anymore!

Ghosts, aliens, baby whispering...

Handy to have as a writer!

I love it! :) really enjoyed reading that! but it didn't sound nutty to me at all..... is that bad? lol.

Now, y'all know why the paranormal genre fascinates me so much. I can't get enough of it!

Elena, I can't think of anything more boring than to base a character on me. lol I'm really not all that interesting, just think and believe outside the box. At least it'd be a good book to put folks to sleep. ;-)

Maureen, that sounds like a fun place to work! I had a friend tell me she was pregnant a couple of months back and I told her immediately the sex of the baby. Tried to convince her not to waste her money on the ultra-sound, but she was convinced I was wrong for a change. She called me a couple of days ago to tell me I was right. Mwhahaha... Never doubt the baby whisperer. lol

*huggles Tiffany* Tfalick, you are Tiffany from my facebook page, right? If not...sorry! I think it's awesome you don't think I sound nutty!!! I'm an out there kind of chick and I debated on how honest to be today. lol I decided what the heck, I'd give y'all half the mystery of me.

You have officially become one of the most interesting people I know. :D

Ann, I don't know if I should apologize for being the most interesting person you know or hug you for thinking I'm interesting. lol I'm a pretty boring gal in my opinion.

BTW, thanks soooooo much for supporting me and stopping by today.

Gracen

I have to say I think you got me this time. These are a couple of new things I didn't know about you and we have know each other a long time. So you being a baby whisperer an all should I assume the dream you had about my future child will have brown pigtails which I hope will happen eventually. As far as you being shy I would of never guessed this, you are a very intelligent and funny lady. I believe everyone would be so lucky to have a friend like you in their life. I wish I had the kind of sprit you have to write the stories you do. :)

Aww...*huggles Karmin* You have to say all these sweet things because you're my real life family/friend. lol AND you don't want my dog to eat you when you visit. ;-)

I dunno...I like to think it'll come true. I thought I told you about the dreams I had about my own boys before I got pregnant with either of them. And you know I knew their sex without any ultrasound. Had another dream about my friend, Angela, too before she had her 2nd & 3rd child, and that one came true also. Your little girl was an itty-bitty thing in my dream, just one or two years old, AND you and Mike-o were looking for houses in that dream. So, who knows what'll happen. I've not given up hope on y'all having that pigtail little girl.

We have a lot in common. I to can tell a baby's sex before born... 100 % accuracy so far except with my own 1st child lol. I attract ghost but cannot communicate with them. I also have a voice that warns me when something bad is going to happen.
Saved me a few times from some very very bad situations.

So from my point of view your not at all crazy unless I am to lol Some would argue with my assessment though :D

Gracen,

Baby whisperer, eh? That's so cool!

I've been accused of snobbery too because of my shyness. I absolutely hate crowds unless I'm singing on stage!

Small talk...bah! I hate it!

I believe in ghosts and that aliens exist too...but don't tell my mom!

LoL

Great post! :)

You are truly an interesting person, which contributes to great story telling.

Leanne, I think it's rather cool to be able to tell a baby's sex before it's born. I can't describe the knowledge as much more than the "energy" I receive from the baby. The communication with ghosts has come with accepting the gift I've been given. It wasn't until my last son was born (he's 9 1/2) that I was able to receieve images as communication from the ghosts/spirit. Sometimes attracting ghosts can be a pain in the booty! They'll wake me from my sleep chatting and if they try to talk to me with their mouth, I cannot understand what they're saying, but the visuals I do. Odd. Like you, I also have that warning voice. The last time I got it, I had the feeling for about 3 months before my father-in-law told us he'd been diagnosed with leukemia 3 months prior.

My husband tells me I'm crazy. I'm okay with that because if I'm crazy, then I don't want to be normal. I've accepted my differences and glad I have them.

Thanks for commenting! It's always great to know I have others like me.

Huggles,
Gracen

Howdy, Nichelle!

I'm with you on the small talk. Who cares! I can talk weather with anyone, but I don't want to. I'd rather talk about the mysteries of the universe or books. lol

My mother believes in aliens and ghosts, but my hubby doesn't. He knew I believed in both before we married, so my beliefs must not bother him too much. Of course, I tell him he attracts wierd-o's...his best friend is definitely unique and he married me too. =D

Brindle, thanks so much for coming out! Means so much to me to see your support. ~huggles and fondles ya~ ;-)
